I looooove this time of the year! Momma brings forth all her free and healing gifts for her offspring. It’s up to us to learn of her gifts and use them accordingly. Here’s one of my yearly favorites☺️. Repost 2009 herbal tings!
Dandelion and Curly Burdock Soda
Whatcha Need:
2-4 packed cups dandelion and curly burdock
4 water
3/4 cups sweetener(we like organic sugar or stevia)
1 teaspoon chopped ginger
1 teaspoon lemon zest or peel
3 cups carbonated water
How it’s Done:
1. Harvest about 4 cups of dandelion flowers and burdock from a chemical-free area.
2. Place the items in a wide mouth mason jar.
3. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and pour over your dandelion and burdock.
4. Cover and allow the dandelion tea to steep overnight.
5. The next day, strain and gently re-heat the tea, taking care not to boil.
6. Add the sugar, chopped ginger, and lemon zest and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
7. Allow this syrup to cool completely.
8. Pour your sweetened dandelion and burdock syrup in a clean glass jar.
9. Add the carbonated water swirl to combine. Put the cap/lid on,and place in room temperature location to ferment and carbonate for a day or so.
10. After a day or so put in icebox to chill and enjoy.
It’s also amazing as ice cubes added to smoothies or slushes🤪!!!
