 I love us and especially our history! Lol as you can probably tell during my daily post during Black History Month🤟🏾! However why stop there? I’ve challenged myself to post a Black History post once a week,plus I use these post to educate Masai Long about the amazing lineage of ppl he comes from💙. Light and Life….

Henrietta Lacks born 8/1/1920 whose cells were taken without her knowledge in 1951 (HeLa cells), became one of the most important tools in medicine .Her cells became vital for developing the polio vaccine 💉, cloning 🧪, gene mapping 🧬, in vitro fertilization,and so much more. However she died on 10/4/51 at the age of 31yrs old of cervical cancer. If you have NEVER read her book I highly suggest you do. I was first introduced to her by my oldest sun who had to read her book while attending Wyandotte High School(go Bulldogs✊🏾)!
