I repost this every year since 2018…and it’s still relevant🤟🏾🫶🏾🤟🏾!
Happiest Winter Solstice! I’m super excited about all that is to come. Here’s the short version of what Sai and I do to bring in this special space💗.
1. Cleanse and protect using a bowl of salt.
Choose a non-wooden bowl to use for this one....Add sea salt or kosher salt, star anise cloves, and a bay leaf. Mix the ingredients together and call on the spirit of your home to cleanse the inner’chi of your space and protect you from any negativity, foolishness,or ill will. Place the bowl near the front door and replace its contents every few weeks.
Pour a few drops of cinnamon essential oil into a diffuser or spray bottle, or crush two cinnamon sticks into a small bowl of warm water. Allow the aroma to permeate your space. Regardless of how 2018 has played out make a list of the people who have added value to your life and have helped you become the person you are today. Write or call at least one of them to say how much you appreciate them. Even if they’re an Ancestor you can put it on your altar.
3. As Is Above
For Christianity the Star of David symbolizes the guiding light. There is a lot to see in the night sky this solstice season,so go outside and experience the dance of the planets if you can. The Jupiter/Saturn meetup reminds us that each one of us is an opening for light,a gateway through which the absolute can manifest. What’s so dope is on a spiritual level, this alignment shows us the energies ahead. Jupiter gives us freedom and expansion, while Saturn places her limits and rules. Take some time to do so inner work and see where you need to be free to express yourself.
4. Be da’Light
Place a bowl of water with 10 drops of patchouli and rosemary each, light a candle to represent light and prosperity. Dip your hand in the water and anoint your hands or face(you could also do this in a bath just add 1 cup of epsom salt). If you are with others(I know the Rona may not allow it)but you can anoint the person next to you.
5. Prayer of Thanks
I am grateful for that which I have.
I manifest those I do not,be it the will of the Ancestors and Universe~Selah
I have more than others,I have less than some, but no matter I give thanks.
I am blessed
I am ready for abundance in my life
I am whole
I am healthy
I am present
I am ready to be the change needed ~Selah

Many of the most supportive plant allies are already sitting in your spice cabinet. These everyday spices have been used across cultures for centuries, not only for flavor but also for their wellness-supporting properties. When used regularly and intentionally, they can gently support digestion, circulation, immunity, and overall balance.
Cayenne Pepper – A warming spice that supports healthy circulation and helps stimulate digestion. Often used to encourage blood flow and bring warmth to the body.
Black Pepper (Peppercorn) – Known for enhancing nutrient absorption, especially when paired with other herbs like turmeric. It also supports digestive function.
Nutmeg – Traditionally used to support relaxation and calm the nervous system. In small amounts, it may help promote restful sleep and ease occasional insomnia.
Fenugreek – Supports hormone balance, metabolic health, and digestive comfort. It has a long history of use for overall vitality.
Ceylon Cinnamon – Helps support healthy blood sugar balance and metabolic function. Ceylon cinnamon is the preferred variety for regular use due to its gentler profile.
