Black History(Mr.Frederick McKinley Jones)

From the page - Black American Pride

In 1938, Frederick McKinley Jones—a self-taught Black inventor with just an 8th-grade education—revolutionized global food logistics. He created the first automatic refrigeration system for trucks, allowing perishable goods to be transported safely over long distances. This invention became the foundation of the company Thermo King.

During World War II, his cooling units preserved food and medical supplies for troops overseas, saving countless lives. Today, his legacy lives on in every refrigerated truck, helping feed the world with fresh produce year-round.
